Kobe Bryant scored 41 points, including eight in the final 68 seconds, to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 103-97 win over the Denver Nuggets, who snapped a 16-game winning streak at home. The win gave the Lakers a 2-1 advantage in the National Basketball Association Western Conference finals. Bryant hit a 3-pointer from 24 feet out at 1:08 to give the Lakers a 96-95 lead and added five free throws to clinch the victory. Pau Gasol added 20 points and 11 rebounds. “It’s the Western Conference finals,” Bryant said. “It should be close.” The Lakers were down 52-48 at the half and fell behind as much as eight points in the second quarter. Carmelo Anthony scored 21 for the Nuggets and Chauncey Billups added 18.Chris Andersen and J.R Smith came off the bench to combine for 25 points. Game 4 will be played tomorrow at Pepsi Center in Denver.
